Eris needed to relax. She had been going hard all week and only had a few minutes before her next trip began.
Knowing she was ready for a vacation, there was no time to leave the planet. Not that looking at the faces of her own projections was a traditional vacation, but it was what she had time for. She stepped into her Immersive Interface Chamber (IIC). She felt the simulated waves of a drug touch her softly, and jaw-clenched a smile as the door sealed itself behind her and the rhinoceros buzz smashed into her.
Her world inverted, the shadows became solid and the real world became shadow. Gradually these polarities were reversed to normal and a new perspective moved in to skew dimension. Objects with definite corners seemed to grow curves, while spherical objects grew sharp edges. The walls were alive. Breathing deeply, they developed a wet pink organic luster. Time sped up and slowed down. Malevolent gel
